Brainchild poster with The Swan in cut outs on a pink background. The poster is a literal interpretation of Arne Jacobsen’s armchair, The Swan, which was designed in 1958. Brainchild’s interpretation of The Swan is Danish design of the highest quality that completes your home decor.
The poster shows an organically shaped outline of our Danish national bird. With its majestic appearance, the swan is seen resting on a blue lake. The double meaning of the motif is tones up in the swan's water reflection, which is illustrated according to the shape of our Danish furniture classic.
The design process is inspired by Henri Matisse's working method, with which we first designed the motifs by hand as cut outs. We have cut cardboard out in different shapes and colors, and worked with compositions of the elements and combinations of the colors. After that, we have digitized the motifs and made them available as posters.
